The variety of lighting conditions in the
different seasons is something for which the Orkney Islands are justly famous.
Nowhere is this more evident than at the ancient site of the Ring o' Brodgar,
the henge erected between 2500 BC and 2000 BC.
This print captures the brilliance of the sunset
and the movement of the clouds over the Ness o' Brodgar with some of the remaining
twenty seven standing stones in silhouette.
